Data destruction
Your data, destroyed. With the paperwork to prove it.
Old computers, servers, phones and photocopiers are full of confidential data. We collect them securely, then shred or degauss the drives, or wipe them to a secure standard so they can be reused.
You get a certificate of destruction, with serial numbers and manufacturer details if you need them, ready for your auditors.

Who we are
A family business that does the job itself
We Collect has been trading since the start of 2012, built on more than 20 years’ experience in waste management. Every job is overseen by a member of the family, and we use our own vehicles and drivers rather than subcontractors.
We work with everyone from international blue-chip companies, councils and government departments to sole traders and households. Wherever we can, we give quality equipment a second life by donating it to charities and schools.

We’re based in West Malling, Kent. Our main coverage is Kent and Central London, and we travel across the South East for business collections. For national clients we go further afield.
Before every collection we weigh the environmental cost of the journey against what can be recovered, so the job makes environmental sense as well as business sense.

FAQs
Common questions
Does the equipment need to be working?
No. We take equipment whether it works or not, of any age or specification. Anything that can be refurbished is; everything else is broken down for material recovery.
What paperwork will I get?
Every collection comes with the correct waste paperwork for the type of waste: a waste transfer note, or a hazardous waste consignment note for items such as fridges and screens. Where data is involved, we issue a certificate of destruction, with serial numbers if you need them.
Can you destroy data at our premises?
Yes. We offer on-site destruction for organisations that need drives destroyed before they leave the building, as well as secure collection for off-site destruction. See data destruction.
Do you collect from homes as well as businesses?
Yes. We collect from households, mainly across Kent, and from businesses across Kent, London and the South East.
Can our old IT go to a good cause?
If you ask us to, we can refurbish suitable machines and donate them to charities and schools on your behalf.
