Hazardous components, handled properly

Fridges and freezers contain hazardous components that need specialist treatment when they’re recycled. We collect domestic and industrial sized fridges and freezers and air conditioning units, and we can decommission walk-in fridges, freezers and air conditioning systems.

A paper trail for every unit

• Every fridge and freezer collection comes with hazardous waste paperwork, showing the number collected and their hazardous components
• Air conditioning decommissioning includes documentation for disposal of the refrigerant gas
• Waste transfer certificates are provided for the units themselves

Licensed recycling

Following legislation changes, only a handful of facilities in the UK are licensed to recycle refrigeration units, and our recycling partner is one of them. We send white goods in bulk, choosing the authorised site with our carbon footprint in mind.

Strict procedures make sure every hazardous component is removed and treated properly. The remaining materials are then separated for recovery and reuse.
